When pioneering solar company SunScout approached Idea, they were well advanced with solar technology applications, and ready to develop a new range of eco-friendly solutions to power vehicles, robotic systems, and mobile machinery, aiming to eliminate fossil fuels and achieve maximum environmental sustainability.
Collaborating closely with SunScout's suppliers and in-house manufacturing team, Idea's industrial design and engineering team worked through a strategic new product development (NPD) program of Robot Mowers and EV Campervan products, providing conceptual design solutions, early marketing product image renders supporting SunScout's market entry point.
Utilising Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) techniques, our engineering design team developed detailed 3D CAD assembly models, transforming concepts into engineered products with prototype development, ready for manufacturing 'hand-over' and finished product distribution via SunScout's global sales network.
