Idea has a longstanding partnership with ShineChef, a leading OEM* Chinese manufacturer. Our commitment to design innovation has helped ShineChef expand its vision by developing a range of ODM** Stand Mixer kitchen appliances.
In 2024, ShineChef achieved a significant milestone, producing over 1 million stand mixers in a single year exported worldwide.
Starting with an engineering brief, Idea’s industrial design team collaborated closely with ShineChef’s engineering and marketing teams to research and define the product requirements. Through creative conceptual sketches, various design styles were explored each with refined internal component layouts, proportions, visual aesthetics, and user ergonomics. Concept ideas were then validated with creation of handcrafted clay form-study models.
Throughout this process, Idea’s team meticulously captured every detail of the internal engineering structure, visual aesthetics, and product features using Siemens NX 3D CAD software, ensuring delivery of high-quality A-Class surface engineering files, ready for production tooling and mass manufacture
