We know it’s been a difficult year for many industrial sectors, and we’ve seen first-hand the pressure some businesses have been under. The positive side is several companies have looked towards product innovation as a way to diversify and open new opportunities, and we’ve appreciated being involved in that shift.
Across the year we’ve worked alongside clients to explore new ideas, develop stronger product offerings, and create real momentum for what comes next.
Here at Idea, we get to work on some pretty cool projects, and 2025 was no exception.
Highlights included:
- Winning Silver at the Best Design Awards for the OBO carbon-fibre field hockey goalie helmet
- Developing ice cube and ice ball maker appliance designs
- Designing a range of AED (defibrillator) cabinets
- Bathroom hardware to improve your shower experience
- Outdoor hiking equipment
- Creating (more) components for advanced horticultural systems
We’ve also been working with several promising start-ups during the year, with exciting new product launches
on the horizon!
Our
Idea-China
operation had another busy year, managing build of new mould tools, manufacturing and assembly of our client
product designs, along with speciality item sourcing, QC inspections (PSI) and shipping.
We’re taking a well-deserved break
Our NZ design studio will close 4pm Wednesday 24th December and reopen Monday 12th of January.
Our Idea-China operation will work through Christmas as usual, and then closed to celebrate Chinese New Year mid February.
