Wow what a year!
We celebrated a significant milestone - 25 years of dedicated work in the field of product design, development, and manufacturing supply.
International travel returned to ‘almost’ normal with several trips to and from our office in Shenzhen, China including international tradeshow attendance ‘reconnecting’ with clients!
We had the privilege of working on some pretty cool projects during 2023 ranging from; Apiary (Bee Keeping) hive monitoring systems & Animal Welfare, to Solar conversion of Robotic Lawn Mower, through to Aviation, Building Industry & House Hold appliance products, not to mention an interesting selection of start-ups!
Our Idea-China manufacturing operation had another busy year, building new moulds, producing parts, assembling products, sourcing speciality items and shipping around the globe.

Celebrating 25yrs | Creating Products from Ideas
Idea Developments celebrated a significant milestone this year of dedicated work in the field of product design, development, and manufacturing supply.
The journey began in 1998 when Kim Scott, previously the Design Manager at Sunbeam Kitchen Appliances (NZ), founded Idea with a clear vision: to create a product design and development company that delivers comprehensive solutions from an idea "exceeding expectations through holistic design".
The company's name itself encapsulates its essence - Industrial Designed Engineering Answers (IDEA).
Having completed over 2,200 designs spanning across more than 20 diverse industries, singling out one 'standout design' is impossible!
