With the challenges of previous years firmly behind us, 2024 has been a year of growth and expansion into new industry sectors for our design team. With international travel returning to normal, we’ve been fortunate to work closely with our international clients on their exciting new product developments.
Here at Idea, we get to work on some pretty cool projects, and 2024 was no exception.
Highlights included:
- Designing an electronic Forecourt Controller Case
- Developing a range of Carbon-fibre field hockey goalie Helmets
- Creating components for advanced Horticultural systems
- Solar powered commercial Robotic Lawn Mower
- Innovating kitchen appliance designs
- Designing a 10,000L portable Water Treatment unit
We’ve also been working with several promising start-ups during the year, with exciting new product launches on the horizon!
Several of our clients achieved significant milestones in 2024, including:
- OBO: 71% of all goalkeepers in the Paris Olympics used OBO equipment
- Proline Products: 1 million Gator Clips produced to date
- ShineChef, China: 1 million stand mixers manufactured within a single year
Our Idea-China operation had another busy year, managing build of new mould tools, manufacturing and assembly of our client product designs, along with speciality item sourcing, QC inspections (PSI) and arranging shipping around the globe.
